Gardens Around Roundstone
In the area of Roundstone and the surrounding areas of Connemara we have the annual Connemara Garden Trail, these are all private gardens for you to discover the hidden beauties of Connemara during the months of April, May, June, July and August.

These gardens range in size and style, from formal to wild, which tell a story of their own. There are advantages and disadvantages in gardening through out Connemara, the sea plays a major role therefore the climate is moist, and we have no frost, well nothing to write home about, the sea can also cause problems because of the salt. The soil is acid and shallow in most places, and a lot of nutrients need to be added. For most gardeners in Connemara it is a wonderful challenge to grow things and the results if they work are spectacular.
